Summary of Responsibilities:
- to create/enhance functional test suites for use in validation of hardware circuit packs
- Supporting manufacturing in regards to BOM and AVL analysis and component substitutions
- Assist technical support groups to resolve field support issues related to hardware design.
- Performing circuit analysis for cost reduction, component obsolescence and RoHS compliance
- to review product architecture, schematics, PCB layout, firmware and BOMS.
Requirements for the Position:
- Electrical or Computer Engineering Degree
- 3 to 5 years experience in electronics design or test of networking products
- Fluent in current circuit design techniques and component technologies for networking products.
- Experience in writing test software in C using a real-time operating system
- Lab experience in test and characterization of hardware components.
- Reviewing product architecture, interconnect schematics, PCB layouts, firmware, and stocklists.
- Performing circuit analysis for cost reduction, component obsolescence and RoHS compliance.
- Assist technical support groups to resolve field support issues related to hardware design.
- Design, implement and validate digital circuit changes and CPLD/FPGA firmware.
Work with global engineering and layout teams to deliver complete product solutions including mechanical design, product integrity and reliability analysis
